Jewelry Making with Laurel Patrick Jewelry

Learn to make 1-5 earrings with solid sterling silver, and 14k gold filled wire.  Students will learn how to manipulate wire and shape it into various earring styles such as hoops, large and small, tread-ing pins, paper clips and face silhouettes.

Takeaways: A student supply kit including, solid sterling and 14k gold filled wire, charms such as crystals and mini abalone shells and pearls, a steel block, pliers (rounded) and rulers.

About the Artist: Drawing from her Michigan heritage, family knowledge and a passion for collecting gems, antiques and heirloom jewelry, Alexis was inspired and driven to expand her artistic practices into the disciplines of jewelry design, metal smithing and wax carving.  While her work has taken her all over the world Alexis has developed a passion for hand crafting objects she wants to wear every day which include precious, sustainable and raw materials.  Due to these experiences, making the most of life's little treasures in Alexis' only mission statement.
